The simplest way to start swaging slugs: a fixed-weight kit for testing grain weights in your gun before moving up to a SlugMaster or a Freedom Press. One of the most accurate and repeatable systems for weight, with each slug within 2 grains.
- Slug diameter: .356″ (9.040 mm), ±0.005 mm
- Weights: 90, 128 grains. The kit makes one fixed weight; add more weights with additional weight inserts
- Nose: hollow point; dimple nose + hollow point as an option
- Base: flat base punch included; a second punch (dish base) as an option
- Press: 6-ton press. Kit size: 26 mm across and 130 mm tall; needs a press opening of at least 155 mm
- You need: Lead wire one calibre smaller than the slug, lube such as WD-40, and a press
- Material: Tool steel, hardened to 50–52 HRC
